At the Heart of the Arcachon Bay Tourist Board, we promote the use of non-motorised vehicles! That is why we offer bike rental for your convenience at each of our four Tourist Information Offices! From a half-day to two weeks’ rental, choose from a multitude of possibilities!
What circuit to take through Arcachon Bay?
ALL of Arcachon Bay may be explored on a bike! You might make a full tour of the Bay (approx. 75 km / 47 mi) with a boat crossing from the Thiers pier to the Bélisaire pier.
How can I reach the Vélodysée?
The Vélodysée, an itinerary of more than 1,200 km, is a bike path that crosses through Brittany and follows the Atlantic coast to the Basque Country seaboard. The Vélodysée passes through most of our territory, including Lanton, Audenge and Biganos, before reaching Teich, a neighbouring commune (https://www.lavelodyssee.com/troncons/lacanau-ocean-arcachon).
What about other circuits?
If you’d like to enjoy a safe, shady bike path, you might follow the bike path of the Landes de Gascogne Regional Natural Park from the Vélodysée (Biganos) to La Brède or Bazas.
