The Velodysee, Atlantic coast from the North to the South

The famous cycle path that runs along the Atlantic coast from north to south, stops at the Bay of Arcachon.

77 km of cycle paths connect the essential sites of the Bay of Arcachon.

From Dune du Pilat to Cap-Ferret

From the Dune-du-Pilat to the Cap-Ferret lighthouse, via the Domaine de Certes et Graveyron in Audenge, the beautiful villas from Taussat to Lanton, or the small port of Biganos, the Vélodyssée has more than one route to explore.

Tour of The Hearth of the Bassin d’Arcachon

For a more challenging outing, the tour of the Bay can be done in a day. The relatively flat route lets you discover a multitude of different landscapes. Take the boat from Lège-Cap-Ferret to reach Arcachon! Check out the list of bike rental companies in the region (+ soft travel page with the listing), as well as the shuttles connecting Cap-Ferret and Arcachon.

This route can be done just as well in “slow life” mode, with overnights, to take the time to discover the surroundings. Head off with your swimsuit and towel, good shoes and a cap, and criss-cross the cycle paths to discover the region. With its oyster ports, typical villages and pine forests, you can discover the Bay at your own pace…!
