A grandiose spectacle

Cap Ferret lighthouse is THE place to visit on the peninsula. You’ll spot it from far off, this white tower with its red top, which soars above the green of the pines. An emblem of the region, the lighthouse also signals the entrance to the Bay of Arcachon.

One of the most beautiful views of the Bay

On the way to climb the 258 steps of the lighthouse! After a challenging ascent, you’ll be rewarded with a magnificent panorama of land and water: the entrance to the Bay of Arcachon, the sandbanks, Dune-du-Pilat, Bird Island, the oyster villages, pine forest, ocean beaches and Atlantic coast as far as the eye can see.

The view is even more beautiful at the end of the day, when you can enjoy the light of the sun glinting over the entire Bay.
